The weather is so beautiful here! Last summer we had 5 tree frogs that hung out on our front picture window and ate bugs. It was surprisingly entertaining and I really liked watching them. Two of them are already back. The lizards are back too, but I don’t like them as well as the tree frogs. They look too intelligent–like they are planning my demise. However, my daughter loves most all crawly critters.

Don't worry. We let the lizard go after we got a good look at it.

Knock Off Decor — I love when people take really expensive items from overpriced posh catalogs and knock them off for much less. This website is full of ideas for doing just that.

What You Need From Your Local Yard Sales — from Teach Mama — Yard sales are starting back up again! If you are a person who likes to go to yard sales, start thinking about items that you would like to buy now. I’ve already found a food processor and some summer clothes for my kiddos this past weekend. (As an aside, my daughter wants to be a professional yard sale-er when she grows up. Either that, or a window cleaner.)

Tips for Planning, Preparing, and Enjoying Leftovers — from The Adventures of Miss Mommy — Great tips here regarding leftovers. I always plan for leftovers. Not only is better for our budget, but that way I get a break from cooking!

Head of the Board! Headboard Tutorial — from Remodelaholic — This is a genius idea! This lady uses cabinet doors to make this headboard. I don’t like the headboard we currently have, so I’ve been on the lookout for inexpensive ideas to make my own.

    Thank you, Kate!

We also used to love the backyard creatures in my parents’ old yard…my dad and I caught this massive frog that we brought home (a 5-hour drive) to the yard….he was beloved, so much so that my dad wrote him in as an exclusion when they sold the house, meaning they got the frog. I’m serious.
