Things I Love Thursday: Rain City Hymnal

Last Thursday I wrote about my love of hymns and Page CXVI. This week I am continuing that theme and I’d like to introduce you to some more music.

Rain City Hymnal is a collection of 12 hymns done by 5 different bands. Its described as a “fresh approach to 12 ancient hymns.” The bands are all associated with Mars Hill Church in Seattle and the album is produced by one of their ministries, Re:Sound.

I am very happy to tell you that this album is available for a free download. (There is a place to provide a donation if you’d like to do that.) All you have to do is share about the music with your friends, either via email, Facebook, or Twitter.  Follow the prompts and you’ll have your music. :)

My favorites songs on this CD is “I Sing the Mighty Power”  and “What Wonderous Love is This.”

What are your favorite hymns? Any other CDs with hymns that I should know about?

Check out The Diaper Diaries for more Things I Love Thursday.

Great is Thy Faithfulness, Victory in Jesus, It is Well With My Soul (v. 3 being my favorite–my sin, oh the bliss of this glorious thought, my sin not in part but the whole, is nailed to the cross and I bear it no more, praise the Lord, praise the Lord, oh my soul!)
I like the Selah greatest hymns cd. I like this post!
